Maya Gabeira and Justine Dupont are prime examples of women who capture the biggest and best waves of the biggest days. Women can do anything, and real men love it.

I identified when the drop was mentioned, not because I ride big waves, far from it, but because a lot of body surfing is all about the thrill of the drop. since mobility is enhanced only with fins, some feel the ride is too short, but it is just exploiting different aspects of the wave than a board surfer might .
