I had never heard of techwear before your videos randomly popped up in my feed, and I'm intrigued! I think I'm going to start incorporating some techwear pieces into my wardrobe to give me a bit more functionality and versatility. I just feel like tech wear is often made of plastic and other fibers that are not environmentally friendly. I think it looks cool as hell, but I wish I could see more tech wear that is environmentally conscious. Like tech wear with a solar punk or natural fibers inspired twist on it so it feels less like I’m part of a society in a dystopian nightmare where their is no hope.

I have 2 techwear pants and I absolutely love them. They dry very fast, are very comfortable, didn't even rip when my dog bit me in the leg when he was a puppy, has a ton of pockets and I can wear my winter pants underneath

Idk a lot about watch proof fabrics themselves but i do know corporations will try to cut corners. So the next time you look at a waterproof product maybe check if it uses PFAS. It is used to waterproof products and it very common in outdoor wear. These are chemicals that are highly toxic to the environment and us. It can very easily enter your system and environments through water runoff.

Personally I love techwear. I like how cool and innovative some brands are being and it's great to see.

Even though my individual style leans far more 'African Soft Goth Lolita' (how I've had it described to me by friends), I still have some techwear pieces that I love, like my favourite bum bag (fanny pack for US) and one of my boleros. They are honestly my favourite pieces for things like concerts or travelling since they are really practical. Cash is in my pocket inside my sleeve, tickets and list of numbers for taxis in my upper arm pocket, phone and other nicknacks in my bag and its pockets.

I think there is a lot that can be gained from embracing pieces in styles that aren't your exact aesthetic because I never would have thought years ago that my black techwear bag would be one bag I use more than my teddy bear bag or often with my teddy bear bag. I love them both for different reasons.

I just wish techwear was more size inclusive for curvy African body types because I'm still yet to find any of those comfy seeming cargo pants with billions of pockets that will actually fit me properly. ❤
