I think fashion and streetwear in general have really seen an explosion of popularity during the pandemic. Ironically when people can't go out they start to think about what to wear 🤣

Techwear as functional clothing is phenomenal. The good brands tend to be a little behind the times when it comes to advances in the industry but they're very function/purpose driven.
Techwear as a fashion is a joke that the fans don't seem to be in on.

Nice, short and simple explanation for the definition of techwear man.
Been following this sense of style for 5 years now and it's really a journey itself, nowadays the definition of techwear is faded into overly strapy ninja like taobao aesthetic that inspires from techwear itself. I do hope that techwear do rise again but with more affordability to what u buy from the piece.

Techwear was pretty well defined before cheap techwear brands came along and blurred the lines by refering to themselves as techwear. In my opinion the original side of techwear is a fashion style and the newer "techwear" is more akin to cosplay in most cases, which is fine if that's what you like but I just wish they'd refer to themselves as warcore or darkwear instead of techwear so the techwear subs and hashtags aren't flooded with edgy cosplay from aliexpress, saturated with straps and japanese writing.

Tangent aside, really great video, keep it up and the subs will come.

After watching the video I was floored to find out how small your channel is, if you keep up with this quality of content I’m sure your channel will grow exponentially. If you want the advice of someone who’s wholly unqualified to give advice, I think you should try to incorporate a bit more humor and or more casual parts into the video so it’s less like a spoken essay with pictures. While the essay format is reliable, and is the most efficient way to get across information, it’s not always the most entertaining way to get across information. But as long as a video essay is the backbone of your content, yet subtly it will work fantastically. Cant wait to see you grow!

My take on "techwear" is striking good balance between function and form. Examples of functions are water & wind resistence, breathability, packability, carryability (I made this word up), quick dryness, mobility, etc. Of course form is about looking cool! On such scale, I find ACRONYM, Veilance, SISP and Nikelab ACG (suprise surprise all of these have Errolson's involved) are/were doing a great job. Sadly, they do cost A LOT, but think about the crazy processes behind - R&D, pattern making, etc., the products do worth the price tags. Same as other expensive hobbies, "techwear" is probably one of them. Given the price tag and the niche interest, I don't think it will "be dead", but also won't go real mainstream. I do find it's a good thing!
