Desert Camping To Escape The Farm

This week, we packed up and hit the open road in a camper van to explore the wild beauty of Utah—and it did not disappoint. From camping on BLM land under the stars to passing generations-old farms scratching a living out of the high desert, this trip reminded me what makes the American West so special.

Welcome to the world of RVing. Once you get a taste of it, it's hard to stop. I have owned bumper pull trailers, fifth wheels, and two class A motorhomes. There is no better way to travel. Last summer I did a two and a half month trip, going 18, 000 kms, or 11, 000 miles. I left Ontario Canada, and went west to BC. From there I went through Washington, Oregon, Utah, and down to Arizona, before heading home. Southern Utah and northern Arizona is some of the prettiest places Ive travelled in my many years of multi month trips. This summer we are going to Newfoundland for the third time. Icebergs and whales, plus the friendliest people anywhere. It's one of my favourites as well. I have a Youtube channel so the kids can follow my adventures, but its not a fancy one.Love your channel Laura, keep up the good job farming and filming. Cheers from Ontario Canada, .

I love your ride-a-long videos! There are so many cool vistas. Laura has a keen eye for plant life, allowing us to "stop and smell the roses" right along with you. My own personal bucket list includes traveling light in a camper van and visiting all the cool places out west!
