Daemon's laugh is more ironic than inappropriate. He and Laena left Westerios to get away from the politics and the first thing that happens is Vaemond finds a subtle way to make mention of Rhaenyra's illegitimate children rather focus solely on his niece's funeral. Daemon is back in the Game of Thrones and he knows it.

Laenor looking so heartbroken makes me think that Laena was the only one of his family that he outright told about his sexuality (Corlys and Rhaenys probably guessed it but kept quiet) and she was completely understanding and accepting of it, so he's losing the one person he could confide in and be completely honest about himself with without fear of it being used against him.

I always figured Daemon’s laugh was a way to redirect attention. Vaemond was saying things that were pointed insults towards Rhaenyra and her kids. Rhae and the kids were looking uncomfortable. Daemon’s laugh redirected attention from them to him.

In the book, it was pictured as : Driftmark looks like Old Valyria (with the dragons on the land). Kinda nailed it

This is one of my favourite scenes from the show, everything was just right. The music, how the camera pans across the key players, the look between Daemon and Rhaenyra and that laugh. Perfect.

This scene is SOOOO GOOD and I find myself coming back to it often. The eulogy paired with the musical score was just so gorgeous.

This scene and the one where Alicent pleads for just for Aemond are both really high on my list for favorite scenes this season. They’re both just so good and so we’ll acted.

Vaemond was out of line, even his older brother wanted Driftmark to pass to his grandson.

upon first watch, I regarded the delivery of Vaemond's speech to be a bit grating on the ears for some reason. He seemed angry more than mournful. However, I realized he perhaps is mourning the loss of his true-born niece. And especially at the sight of the Strong bois, he is especially agitated and indignant. Such a layered and nuanced delivery that I totally didn't catch!

At 2:21 which dragon is this? Meleys? Also, this shot at 2:26 is pure fantasy! 5 dragons in a single frame! ☺it's crazy to imagine how dragon will turn upon dragon soon enough! :(

That scene at the end with all the dragons is just beautiful.
