Serial Experiments Lain was one of the first anime I ever saw. I had to download the episodes over a 56k modem, it took about 9 hours an episode. Each episode was a treat and I wanted it to last as long as possible so I never skipped the intro/outro.

I haven't thought about this in maybe 10+ years and now I'm suddenly awash with memories. I guess what I'm trying to say is thanks for all the feels. 1 minute and 33 seconds. What a trip!

I'm Japanese. I was born a few years after the serial experiments lain's anime was broadcast, but I liked the melancholy atmosphere of the world view that attracted me very much, and I immediately became a fan of lain.
And more than 25 years later, I'm still very proud as a Japanese that everyone in the world likes lain.
