When Serial Experiments Lain was released in 1998, I was born. As I approached twenty, I was scared of becoming an adult and tried to end my life before reaching that milestone. It was around that time that I first came across this song and lain. Since then, many things have happened, but now, six years later in 2023, I'm still here. While it might not have been a major influence, it filled a void in my life. Thank you, Bôa and lain.
