About the chant:
Non nobis Domine. Latin, date unknown. The phrase ‘Non nobis Domine’ comes from the Vulgate (Psalm 113: 9). In the 1611 translation of the Bible, the King James Version, it opens Psalm 115 (‘Not unto us, not unto us, O Lord’): the Latin phrase appears at the head of that Psalm in the Book of Common Prayer. It is a prayer of thanksgiving for some great achievement which avoids the sin of pride by ascribing the credit to God. The phrase begins ‘Non nobis Domine, sed nomini tuo da gloriam’.
The version in this video was performed at the end of the battle of Agincourt in the movie Henry V.

This chant was performed by Simon Rattle.
Composer : Patrick Doyle #HenryV

This should be the International Anthem of Christendom.

"Praise be to the Lord,
Who trains my hands for war,
My fingers for battle.
He is my loving God and my fortress,
My shield, in whom I take refuge,
Who subdues people under me."
- psalm 144:1

If only men were still this noble without corruption; and women were worthy of this kind of self sacrifice and devotion. What a wonderful world this could be.

The world is becoming hell. Hatred, evil and sin is running around the planet. And this song brings in me a unique feeling of faith and courage to fight for the Holy and the Sacred, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Greetings from Brazil. Vivat Christus Rex!

I'm not a Catholic, but I love this song for it's lyrics and what it represents. The song is really powerful and I think its one that can unite Christians.

Amazingly beautiful - and, yet in its simplicity, truly catches the core of the Christian faith.

I am so happy I found God in the Catholic church, and I do my best to serve Him every day.

Peace be with you all, my fellow Christian brothers and sisters.

This is marvelous beyond words. I use those lines as a signature for my email, and also as a reminder to myself in my work as an EMT that it's not about me - it's about my service to others on behalf of my Lord and Savior, for His glory and for their life.

This chant is played in the movie "Henry V" starring Kenneth Branagh. Great movie and a very emotional ending. The composer is Patrick Doyle (and I think that's his voice that starts the track). Symphony is by City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, and Simon Rattle.

For many years I have been fascinated by the Templars. They did not always do the right thing, but there were also times when they gave their lives to protect the weaker and defenseless. They acted like real knights.

I used to pray 'God give me strength to overcome sin' but i have realised that its not me that fights but rather believe God will fight instead, my own strength is not required because it is not enough to overcome the world.
Keep the faith brothers and sisters, remember your own body, thoughts and feelings can deceive you but God will never deceive you.

This song inspired me to learn Latin, just to sing it with true meaning. Praise be to our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
