Here are 3 steps on how to Fix "Could not complete your request because of a program error" in Photoshop. You might receive this error when creating a document or navigating in Photoshop CC.
1. Make sure Adobe Photoshop is up to date.
2. Go to Edit - Preferences - Performance. Deselect "Use Graphics Processor",
3. Go to Plugins. Deselect "Enable Generator".

These 3 steps should stop the error.

Hello, I did the following steps and still get the same error. I noticed it only affects my CMYK files. The RGB files are fine. Any suggestions? Thank you

I operate on an older computer but never had an issue with this until recently. I do not have the GPU option at all because of the age - again never been an issue. But this happens when I try to actually use the clone stamp. Any suggestions?

hello, i have a psd file and trying to open it but i receive (couldn't complete your request because it is not right kind of file) , even tho my Photoshop works good only this file hade an issue and i need it so badly :(

What should I do if a warning window appears when I open the program and I cannot click Settings? I have downgraded from the latest version and the same problem is occurring in all versions. For reference, I am using an m1 iMac Ventura.😭

The stupid thing on my Photoshop is that when I deselect Graphic Acceleration & generator thing, it says the change will take action after restarting Photoshop. But I can't close Photoshop because the same error pop up thing pops up. I can end task it thru Task Manager of course, but then because it's being forced closed, the deselection of the Graphic Acceleration & generator thing weren't registered. So I'm stuck in a loop. Thanks Adobe.

Finish what? First, generator wasn't enable, second, I have a good graphic processor and I don't have to use it, why??? It doesn't make any sense, I need that graphic processor! Let's find someone else, I wasted my time watching your video, sorry.
