I've been running one of the Drummond pumps in my back yard for a few years now. Pump it 80 feet up a slight grade to the storm sewer . 3600GPH model. It worked for about 12 hours around the clock last year when we got 4 inches of rain in 12 hours. I'm the low spot so it all ends up here.

I wish I had the courage to do one of these sump pump setups myself. My backyard has standing water in it after a rain and I was quoted $8, 500 to basically do what you have in this video, probably half as far to the outlet.

Thank you. I have a large drain in front of my garage where the driveway goes down and garage in under my house.
30 years that drain has never filled. This pass weekend it did and when I opened garage door I had 8 inches of water enter my garage and basement.

So I need to get two pumps one for the trench and one for my basement floor.

Hello I have a similar situation where my backyard floods in a bad storm. I need to put a strong pump that can push water about 3 hundred feet and up an incline. What do you recommend that will last and strong at least 1 hr or 3/4.

I'm from NE Ohio, this helped me with distance because I have 10 acres and the back 5 no longer can drain naturally to the creek due to developments. So I am looking at a DIY to sump the back 5 to the high point or all the way to the 580 ft to the front at the road. Do you figure that type of sum can handle being completely submerged? If there is a heavy rain the back half will definitely flood until drained and I worry that it will run continually. Thoughts?

Geez. Here I was worried about 5' of head then pushing uphill a total of 5 inches in 54 feet. That m98 should laugh at my setup...which is good.
