I would say Glee. Mark Salling was found to have child pornography and then died by suicide. Also, there have been a lot of stories accusing Lea Michele of horrible behavior.

The fact that two other main actors also died (Naya Rivera and Cory Monteith) makes it difficult to watch in a different way.

Glee: One major cast member was arrested and committed suicide for owning underage pornography. One main cast member died of drug overdose. One major cast member tragically drowned. One actor allegedly physically abused his wife, who was another major cast member. And one main cast member is said to be horrifically toxic.

I can't believe you didn't mention 7th Heaven. That show can't even have re-runs anymore.

#9 really pissed me off because people like him are the reason that real victims are scared to come forward in case they aren't believed

I grew up watching iCarly, but Dan Schneider being a creep made it hard for me to rewatch the show.

What about Always. sunny in Philadelphia?
Finding out all the cast is actually incredibly nice amazing people in real life just ruins the show.🥸

They kind of combined Buffy with Angel here, but I would say Angel is the show that has been more ruined than Buffy. With Angel, you can actually watch in real time as Joss Whedon dedicates an entire season of the show to harassing Charisma Carpenter and destroying her character that the audience had spent 7 years getting to know. It was absolutely absurd

With the controversy with Cosby, would Fat Albert and Little Bill also fall into this category?

In the 60s, Cosby did stand up skits about using Spanish Fly. Probably not a coincidence.

I still enjoy some of these shows even with the controversy

Bill Cosby was terrible, but the show taught black individuals that they could seek greatness. 🎉

I can't believe that Bill Cosby established himself as a family friendly entertainer, but all along, he was up to no good. It sickens me how many lives he irrevocably traumatised.

What makes me mad about most of these cases is when people say that person didn’t treat THEM bad. Abusers take advantage of a select people they think they can get away with. Thanks to the Me Too Movement, abusers are seeing they aren’t too big to fail. And abuse isn’t just physical, it can be mental, emotional, verbal, etc.

I still enjoy those shows, just separate the art from the artist

#5 People tend to also forget that Mila Kunis was only 14 years old when she first started on that 70's show.

Fresh off the Boat should get a mention. It’s the first show to feature an Asian American family as its protagonists and won a lot of awards. Unfortunately, former co-star Constance Wu revealed in 2022 that she was constantly harassed by its producer.
