Description: Join me on an epic adventure as I embark on a five-hour drive to work with the renowned arborist company, Golden Eagle Arbor. Our mission for the day? Taking down a towering blue spruce tree that's dangerously leaning over the road. It's a unique opportunity for me as blue spruces in my area rarely grow to such impressive heights. Watch as I skillfully climb and remove the massive tree, showcasing the techniques and precautions necessary for a safe and successful job.

But that's not all! Before heading back home, I make a pit stop at the esteemed JK Boots to discuss some exciting business. Join me as I catch up with my good friends, explore their latest offerings, and dive into meaningful discussions about the arborist industry.

I guess your baby is now almost a year old. Still not too late to offer congratulations from an old lady in Victoria BC.

Sappy Supply HQ is just as awesome as my imagination painted it for me! Except for the lack of Randy just chilling on a cot in the corner with Cinabon's 😂 Great to see one of your "average work days" 👍

You are awesome man. It was a real pleasure buying gear from you too. Thanks for the personal note about the Jed Memorial T-shirt. It’s tough to balance everything in life; however, you seem to do it better than most.

18 hours? Got ya beat, Jake. Way back in the old days in Vietnam I volunteered to go troubleshoot a high-priority communications circuit at a firebase for the 1st Cav. They got me a chopper and everything. Worked on that damned thing for 52 hours (well, including meal breaks) straight and finally got it back up. Finally I could get some sleep. Set up a cot in a storeroom and after a couple of hours sleep the VC rocketed the base. No rest for the weary! 😁

23:46 " Pretty nuts just how big Washington state is " Ha !, mate, you should come to Queensland sometime 🙂. I hope you get a chance to relax a bit after the new bub arrives, I think you've earned it .

Great video, Jake. Not sure why this one was so appealing. My guess is that it is a true "day in the life" without being planned or contrived. Internet store: "It's kinda a lot of work" LOL.

Love watching u. I was a climber for 20 years. Had back surgery 2 years ago. Haven't been back in a tree since. I miss it so much. Keep it up and stay safe.

I remember when I was younger, you never ever seen a climber with a rake in his hand or moving blocks. I do all that myself too now but back then when I was a ground man, you didn't see any climbers doing any type of ground work

Aww damn I thought the trees you were cutting down were the win turbines

Tree work is like that. Mostly just long hours of unglamorous work. Thanks for sharing.

I bet it makes you appreciate how easy it is when you have the right equipment like a loader or a grapple truck compared to loading rounds by hand. I know our crew is humbled when we have to hand carry anything on a very tight worksite.
