Their dad brings tears to my eyes. They choose the right person to played dad in this show. The father had a strong role in the family.

When Sheldon was complaining about how bad his life, it’s George was looking into a mirror of his own life

George Sr. may not have been the best husband or employee, but I do love how much he tries to be a good dad for his kids

George Sr is a great father. He knows how to communicate with his children. He also trusted his kids.

The way George Sr. just lets Sheldon vent, gosh, that is like the biggest thing a parent can do for a kid, just hear them and let them know they are heard. And then they had a reasonable, calm, conversation that ended the best way it could, go say sorry, and that's the end of it. Granted, with Sheldon an adult and child conversation is a lot easier when said child has a level of adult understanding, but that's beside the point, his dad saw a way to relate and used that to solve the problem, round of applause for a perfect parent moment.

I never realized how much George meant to Sheldon until I watched this show.

I love how when sheldon interrupts george he has the "im angry" tilt of the head clearly angered by this, but as sheldon explains and george realizes how similar it is to his own feeling, he softens up knowing that sheldon just doesnt understand that its not ok to take it out on people.

I’m not just tired.
I’m exhausted.
Everything hurts.
I get up in the morning to do this job I don’t even like, and I’m doing it just for the money and it’s not even a lot of money.
I keep trying harder and harder and it doesn’t even make a difference.

Describes a few jobs I've had...

That last bit about he said he's never abusive or mean to any of his friends ever again 🤣🤣🤣

It was good how George handled the situation. He showed Sheldon that his feelings are valid but he has a control them. Kids who don't know how to manage their anger can end up being abusive people as adults. Good job, George.

George understood Sheldon alot more than he was given credit for.

It’s refreshing to see a good dad in a tv show.

That last part was very bittersweet, because it paints sheldon as almost a tragic figure, someone who really really wants to do good but just cant recognize when he doesnt.

He was singing George's song. The way his face changes as he realized just how on the same page they really are. Sheldon doesn't have to know how close his dad is to taking it out on all of them. What's important is he doesn't.

I've been there - the situation that Sheldon (and George) describes. Working hard for very little, being exhausted, and still having to deal with family/loved ones. I'm in a much better place now, thankfully. But to anyone out there still suffering - think about the reason you work hard, stay strong if it's worth it, and keep an eye out for opportunities. You have my condolences and my support, and you are not alone 🙏

Great words from his father, Sheldon is so unaware of himself

Now that is excellent fathering, punishment isn’t always the way to correct misbehavior, sometimes just simply talking to them with a little bit of wisdom is best, and will stick with them the longest.
