These are Japanese geta sandals I believe, and might be a traditional footwear where that woman lives. Japan has a traditional shoe called geta, which is kinda like a mixture of a clog and a flip flop sandal. They’re wooden and usually have two platforms on the bottom there but sometimes they have a single platform, like shown in the video. Still weird to wear to the air port of all places though!

These shoes are called geta and are of Japanese origin. I've never seen anyone wear them casually before but it is common at festivals and parades. I'm pretty sure geisha still wear them while working too.

They were designed for more than fashion. They also kept your feet clean and elevated from the dirty city streets.

Y’all do realize she’s probably a performer or something else practicing, right? Like those shoes take a lot of practice, so it’d make sense if she’s just practicing them on different terrain/in different locations.

Wooden Sandals like these are cultural tradition to wear, in Many Tribes and Areas around the world. Don't worry, they don't damage ur legs if worn properly. We also got one. It's called *খৰম*

All I can imagine is that she wanted them for like 2 minutes on her trip to show her friends or something but they wouldnt fit in her bag so she wore them instead 😂 Ive had to do that with my heels sometimes.
