The PA announcement is for trained medical professional or medical doctor. A nurse can lay an infusion needle and handle syringes. Whatever special area can be useful.

Airlines have contracts with medical agencies, who know exactly what medical equipment and medication the aircraft’s are issued with.

The doctors at these agencies also decide what needs to be done, diversion, CPR, declare death. Cabin Crew is trained in CPR and DeFib procedure, and only they do the procedure (as medical staff and are used to far more sophisticated equipment in a hospital. Medical doctors and medical professionals are supporting the doctors at the agencies.
It is a very upsetting situation to do a CPR, a human body is incredibly heavy, there are relatives to deal with and other passengers witnessing it all. And the cabin crew has to communicate all signs and symptoms to the flight deck, and the pilots pass all information on to the agency doctor.
So even if you are a vet or foot or eye doctor, just make yourself known to the cabin crew when they ask for help. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
