I tried building castle structures from the beginning and they usually ended up looking descent but design and placement was an afterthought.
Then I began noticing the large floor plan big box style that a lot of people used and I liked the uncluttered look of an open floor plan so I built a large box and added 5 triangle pieces to each corner and built a tower at each corner.
I noticed that large castles start with a central structure and then the walls were built out from that structure so I did that hugging the terrain to give it a more organic real world look.
All the towers on the main structure being the same as the ones placed on my walls.
What I wound up with was a really cool looking castle that was functional as well .
If you build using the third tier brick pieces in the cold area around the ravaged barrows the effect of the foggy, cloudy weather really makes the structure look and feel like a real castle and it looks imposing even at a distance the way you would expect it to look in RL.
The only problem with terrain hugging is that there’s no way to make the walls come around full circle because the blocks will be mismatched when they meet so you have to utilize the terrain somehow

I'm planning on making a Set/ Yog monument (Their tenants are very similar). It would be a pyramid with jagged towers on the edges, and have a flat top that the Set worshipping/ sacrificial chamber would be. In front of the pyramid would be a large wooden longhouse with a Yog monument in front of it, surrounded by cages and skulls on pikes.

Finally someone who gives Logic to how to build stuff.
Feels like being an actual Guy honestly explaining.
Sometimes it's those simple things we are used to which we can't build anymore.
I for once jokenly roleplay as some Nordic/Viking-ish People so our Buildings always look shitty or just large Rooms.
But now i could also make them build some prober stuff.

Imo the overhanging roof you made doesn't look great. Id suggest using Awnings for the sides myself. As for the front... its a bit of a challenge, but I dont think making it a block out is the solution. Love your builds and tips for the most part though!

Box houses are a really good starting point since you can easily build it up for example I started with a box style to start with and I added an awning an it’s going to have a second floor balcony and I’m thinking about adding a semi wrap around porch and moving the awning out a bit

They should give us a slanted pillar piece that can snap onto roof tiles neatly. Tbh I hate overhanging roofs in most conan builds. They come out so boxy.

Do you have a video for pyramid building? I know how to build the shell, but I always end up with a hall and rooms off to the side, it works but I'm looking for ideas to make it look interesting on the inside. I did a pyramid over the Oasis in Exiles near the Sand Reapers. Nice spot and fish access from inside.
