He may be confused, but he has manners and thoughtful feelings for his family. How sweet! God bless this family.

What a blessing to have this man as a father. At 92 years of age, with his memory problems, he's still got more manners the 99.9% of people on this planet.

Somehow, he knows down deep that he's not in control anymore. He doesn't want to upset his family and end up alone. Guilt precludes dementia. Stay the course and know how much we admire you for being such a good son.

You're both so loving and considerate to one another. You know exactly what to say to reorient and reassure him.

When he had his mind straight I bet he was a wonderful Dad because with this disease he still is so nice and apologetic. Great guy.

He is so remarkably nice. I've heard of people who get rude and mean with dementia. Not him!

I was my mom's caregiver during dementia. It was the hardest, most heartbreaking thing ever. But looking backward, it was the best, most fulfilling act of love I could have ever done. You are a good son!

The amount of trust he has in you despite his condition is a testament to how he raised you and how much love there is . He accepts what you tell him and trusts that he’s safe and all is well . I can’t say it enough to you guys and we can only hope that we all have someone like you and mark and your families to reassure us that all is right in the world . From very personal experience with more than a couple folks in this situation, most aren’t as easily convinced as he is and fear causes them to lash out . This is so humbling to see everytime you guys post videos . He’s so so loved and not only does he know it but feels it even when he’s in complete confusion . They usually turn into completely different people for many reasons and somehow he’s maintained some type of core demeanor and with you guys then it has manifested into such a heartwarming to see from afar . I’m sure we don’t see everything or know the half of what you guys have been through but I digress to my above statement . So so awesome truly

Ed says, "I don't know what the hell I'm doing up." He accepted Dans answers. Ed agrees to go back to bed. He is so apologetic. He does not want to bother others. A wonderful man!
