This happened to me today. Not after lifting, but after pull ups and push up. I was in a bad mood and was going crazy while working out. I over exerted. And i got severely humbled.

best way to avoid it is to take a deep breath before, and slowly exhale your breath as you’re holding/about to drop the weight. a sharp outward breath can make it easier but then u could faint

Best way to avoid it is don't go heavy straight away. Take time with each set of weights and only increase it by 5kg after you are able to hit 3 sets of 5 reps on a certain amount of weight

I almost faint even by lifting light weights. Today I did 30 reps with 5 lbs from the triceps. It has been 3 hours and my head is still pulsating

Closest I came to this was during squats, I really pushed my self at this point and later on when I stood up after my set I started seeing flashes of light and stars in my eyes…very surreal…I was so close to fainting I guess…

This happened to me for the first time today in my 5 years of competitive powerlifting oddly from dumbell flys I tried to push out my last 2 reps with extreme exertion and I must not have exhaled, I felt like paper Mario when I got up lol didn't exactly pass out but very close to.

Its harmless. The fall is what you have to worry about. Take a knee and let it happen

I can do this without even lifying by holding breath and applying external pressure . Ur face will turn red and most importantly dont apply pressure more than 7 or 8 seconds as it will make u faint and u will surely fall if not holding anythimg💀💀☠️☠️

No I’ve seen the videos were they breath normally and even walk away and just faint this one is less obvious
