I had that happen to a 25’ in the extreme cold I just cut the plastic off and use it to this day

They took over 3 months to fix my m12 multi tool. I had it fixed at a local authorized repair shop. I called weekly for a while. They said they were waiting for approval from milwaukee to fix. They had several of the circuit boards and they showed several in their database for Milwaukees inventory. Finally after a couple of months of this i gave up and quit calling. I decided they could keep it. Thats when the repair shop started calling ever week or two to update me on how they were attempting to contact Milwaukee and find out what the heck was the hold up. They got silence. After about 3 1/2 months thry called up said they got the approval and they would have it fixed by quitting time.
I went to pick it up. They explained they replaced the circuit board per milwaukee approval but replaced the motor on their own dime when it was apparent it needed it rather than wait another 3 months for additional approvals.
He explained they're not normally like this etc etc etc.
And now i have m12 and m18 batteries that are quitting and not working. Red green flash. I've tested with volt meter aftrr watching many YouTube videos on the subject. Its dead cells. Two good cells at 3.8 to 3.9 volts and the 3rd arround 1 volt.
Yeah I'm not to thrilled. The funny part is i have 5 batteries form 10 years ago with about 400 charge cycles on them. Two 1.5ah and three 3.0ah batteries. All 5 still work acceptably.
Not very thrilled with Milwaukees current quality levels on their tools but especially their batteries. The 12.0ah batteries were very expensive!!!

Get the wide blade 16’ magnetic. Best one they make and lasts the longest. Used to go through them every 3 months because it rips from being so sloppy and not rigid.

O your the guy ya I called them they said nice try nothing we can do for you ? They hinted word got out o well saved a few bucks got a dewalt and old stand by Stanley. And they wonder why the new generation calls them millyukkee smh
