I must admit, with SO many people in denial, it makes me almost believe that we MUST be wrong and this really isn't as big a threat as we think. My rational mind knows otherwise but my emotional mind wants to believe we are wrong.

Thank you CEF for these very helpful 2023 Week 9 "Climate Endgame" shorts! I have four reflections for the CEF community this week. 1) The IPCC 6 Synthesis Report is due out on 20 March, and I hope Peter, Paul, and Regina will help us unpack it! 2) Do you think we should expect peer-reviewed papers like Climate Endgame to become mainstream by 2030, such that IPCC 7 is substantially influenced by them, or is it more likely such papers will continue to remain outliers during the next IPCC review round? 3) President Biden is letting the US COVID Emergency Declaration expire in May. Should the White House declare a Climate Emergency as America's "new normal"? How and when would we ever get out of such an Emergency? Would it give decades of undue powers to the Executive? Will it be better or worse if WHO declares a Climate Change PHEIC, if Congress makes the declaration, or if it is left up to individual US States and Canadian Provinces? 4) Renewal of the Black Sea Grain Initiative could be our most important collapse mitigation task of March 2023. Let's pray all parties step up to successful negotiations. Thanks again CEF and God bless!
