I got my budgies 6 days ago, and yesterday i held the seed box in my hand, inside the cage for them to eat.
Today I decided to take it a step further and put the seeds on my palm. I really didn't expect them to eat it, but both my birds took turns sitting on my hand and eating the seeds! They didn't even care if i was moving it around.
I am on cloud-9 right now.

I got a budgie 8 weeks old and I’ve trained him by myself using millet spray and a perch so he gets close to me now he plays with me talks to sits on my shoulder and everything I’m so proud of him and myself millet spray is the best

I read children’s books to my sun conure and rescue budgie every night, it’s our little routine. It helps your bird(s) get used to normal voice, especially if you always talk in a sweet voice to them. My sun conure’s favorite book is Chika-Chika Boom-Boom, and my budgie’s favorite book is Creepy Carrots 😂 Every time I pull those books out they go wild

Good tips. And they work. My budgie has come such a long way since her partner passed away. They didn't want anything to do with me bcuz they had eachother. Once he passed she was still scared of me but wanted attention, slowly but surely we have become much closer. She eats millet from me, and I can pet her chest now, and she even gets on my hands to hold her! 😍 just takes LOTS of time and patience.

I have literally the clingiest friendliest bird I think. I’ve had Buddy for 2 years, she’s a female cockatiel and she follows me everywhere, does everything with me, calls to me (she doesn’t talk or whistle) sleeps on me, snuggles with me and generally just loves me I think, she’s currently asleep on my chest as I’m laying in bed. She was pretty much like that from the very beginning but definitely got more so the longer we’ve been together.

One thing I would recommend for first time bird owners is getting your parrot from someone who handraises their birds, I’ve seen the difference between Buddy and a cockatiel the same age who hasn’t been handraised and lived in the cage it’s whole life. Hand raising in my opinion makes it easier to bond with your bird

My 2 budgies are tame and they get really excited whenever they see me, although I haven’t gotten them to talk and they don’t like being pet. Love the content!

All very interesting and good. I can see how this can work. In a previous video however you had birds not happy with talk on a mobile phone. Yet here it seems okay.
