I wrote, recorded and edited this video in 2022 because I wanted to make a channel dedicated to Queer History + exploring creativity in relation to it,. That didn't happen, so instead I'm just gonna drop it here + hope it doesn't flop too bad.

i've been thinking about sappho much more often than usual so this came in my recommendations at the perfect time and now frankly, she's my roman empire

My head's spinning a little. Someone who's so famous for her poetry in her own time and yet we have so little of it. I had a couple of thoughts when I saw the title, "Gay women read Sappho". That's pretty slim reading. It's more likely that they read *_about_* Sappho. And really, there's very little fact which might get in the way of the legend, so roll it out.
