Microsoft Windows ARM64 Dev Kit 2023 is actually quite an OK deal, even for Linux, BSD development!

It would be interesting to see something similar also in their laptop line. Anyway I really dig that ms is also going into arm quite heavily. It's quite unfortunate that they messed everything up when they launched RT ages ago. Paid arm and a leg for M2 Air to have on the go 3D CAD capable computer. It's really nice to have possibility to actually use laptop for about 8h without any worries of battery running out. It's win for everyone when new players get into field. I effin hate Apple insane pricing.

WIth my raspberry pi, to get around the boot issues, I install uboot to an sdcard and use the uboot uefi implementation to boot any standard distro. Asahi Linux provides the same kind of thing though I'm not sure what the situation is with partitioning the internal disk.

Given my experience with the Qualcomm 7C based devkits Linux is pretty far from daily driver territory on these arm boxes. Qualcomm is just too hostile to open source atm. Not that apple is really any better, but still.
