Easy to Make Crispy Rolled Chicken Tacos for Ramadan 2025

A taquito is a Mexican dish that typically consists of a small rolled-up tortilla that contains filling including ground or fried chicken. The filled tortilla is then deep-fried. Chicken Taquitos is often topped with sour cream or garlic paste.
Ingredients
150 g chicken breast long strips
¼ tsp garlic salt
¼ tsp ginger powder
¼ tsp onion powder
1 tsp pepper powder
¼ tsp cumin powder
½ tbsp chili powder
salt to taste
½ cup buttermilk
2 tbsp oil
½ cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup corn flour
tortillas as required
tomato ketchup
oil for frying
Instructions
Cut chicken breasts into long strips, mix it with garlic salt, ginger powder, onion powder, pepper powder, cumin powder, chili powder, salt, buttermilk
and oil.
To prepare the coating: Add all-purpose flour, corn flour, pepper powder & salt in a bowl. Mix well using a fork.
Dip each chicken strips in flour mixture and deep fry it for about 3-4 minutes.
Prepare and cook the tortillas. Try to make the sizes thin and consistent.
Place the fried chicken strip in the tortilla, drizzle some tomato ketchup and tightly roll them up. Apply flour paste on the end to keep the roll sealed.
Fry the taquitos in the hot oil for about 1-2 minutes or until golden, then turn over and finish frying both sides. Blot taquitos of excess oil on paper towels and serve immediately with sour cream or garlic paste.
