Nothing better than eating meat you raised yourself. Nice to have good people helping you Josh. Your dad had the best job, supervising! Lol

You pulled it out of the plucker and said this is what they look like at the grocery store. There ain't a single one of them that looks that good at the grocery store!!! Great job!!!

My Great Grandma would send us grandkids to the chicken yard to catch the ones she wanted. I think she enjoyed watching us run around the yard trying to catch one. Of course I never caught the one she was looking at the first time or two lol. She would ring its neck and have it dressed in a flash wanting another one. After culling chickens we were almost embarrassed to go to school again from the smell on us. We were not the only farm kids in school smelling like we did from culling chickens so we got over it quickly. We hand plucked because Grandma made pillows from the downy feathers we set aside. Am glad to see you younger generation kids doing what we did with your new way to process. It took 3 to 4 hens to feed everybody during harvest time on Sunday afternoons. I just have my older brother now to remember how we did things growing up in the early 1960's.

So we have moved from silicon valley tech industry to the country. Everyone is loving the move. Been raising chickens for eggs. Now it's time to process the bird. Been wanting to learn this. We sat here and watched your video and kids actually thought it was cool. My 9 year old girl said she can't wait to try this as well as my 4 year old boy. We will be starting our channel as well. Thank you, for this informational video. 👍

This is a good reminder to myself that I'll never be a farmer that processes his own meat. I have absolutely no problem whatsoever with the process, except for doing it myself. I'll gladly pay someone with a stronger stomach than myself to do the processing of whatever meat animals I may eventually raise (stuck in the city right now).
Great video showing how it should be done.

I really appreciate the respect you give the animals in the process - you're not gloating about killing them, you're respectfully creating food for your family. Very informative.

Beware, there are some people on the east coast of the United States that don't want this done. Simple reason is we would not be dependent on them for our subsistence. Can only hope it will not last long. God bless you, love your videos. RLTW

That cone you put the chicken in is pretty awesome as well as the plucker . My Dad had to kill our hen when we were young she was sick so he chopped off her head and she flew 100 yards into the house lol. He couldn't hang on with one hand. You got that down to a science now.
