Hi, I am happy to see you keep covering emulation topics. While I am not interested into current gen emulation, this is really good to see how it turns out to be. Can't wait to test them out in a few years.

This is a great tutorial for people who want to step up their emulation experience on the Deck, but i hope it doesn't deter off people that aren't comfortable making seemingly "significant" changes to their Deck. I've been emulating everything including the Switch, having done nothing but install and setup EmuDeck, with no other additional changes or mods to the Deck whatsoever and the performance I'm getting is comparable if not identical to the results gotten from this video. Games I often play when emulating Switch: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Pokemon Legends Arceus, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Super Mario Odyssey, ACNH and The Legend of Zelda - Link's Awakening (which requires to set gpu accuracy to high in Yuzu to address some graphical glitches).

Dbrand always goes hard! I very recently got my kill switch case replacement.
They included a dock adapter, it makes it so the case can sit in the valve steam deck dock and a USB c extender... The skin's really tempting for me, for the meme!

can say today with the oled deck and latest default version of yuzu, adding these settings improved my performance incredibly! Games I play went from unplayable to 60fps.

Great video! Just wanted to ask how the recommended settings effect regular game performance? If it effects it negatively, is there any 'easy' way to swap between best settings for PC/steam deck games and best settings for (Switch) emulation? At the moment, I'm only willing to modify SMT and GPU hertz as they're quite easy to change. Modifying BIOS files to jump between Witcher 3 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe doesn't sound too appealing.

I love those skins, as any chance to put the screws to the mighty "N" is always beyond welcome. My son just past by while watching your video, and he just said if he ever gets a Steam Deck, he wants those skins. As he's a Switch fan, and that would make his deck the pro he never got from them. LOL

I don't remember setting up anything special for Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope but a few weeks ago I remember it working for me with just some stutters when there was heavy animations. If you are interested I can look again on what my settings were.

Say what you want about Fan the Deck but the cojones on this guy taking on Nintendo with awesome tutorials like this is nothing but admirable.

Great info and very helpful! The only thing now is that I wish there were easier methods/guides showing how to get games working that use Mii's for example Mario Kart. There are a few more steps on how to get games like that working but it can get a little confusing. Also I never got those games to work when using Yuzu from emudeck but did get it working if I installed it standalone. Lastly it would also be nice showing people how to transfer your save data from Switch to yuzu with the included update and dlc files. I am usually grind a lot in games and I don't want to start over just to play the game on my Steam Deck.
