How To: Troubleshoot Pairing | Indy True Wireless Earbuds | Skullcandy

If you can't get Skullcandy's Indy True Wireless Earbuds to pair to your phone, or your earbuds are having trouble connecting to one another, here's how you reset Indy to resolve your pairing issues.

Step #1: Place your earbuds in the charging case
Step #2: Remove your Indy earbuds from your paired devices list by hitting "Forget This Device."
Step #3: Turn off Bluetooth on your device.
Step #4: Remove only the right earbud from the case.
Step #5: Tap the center of the earbud 4x & replace the earbud back in the case. Repeat this step with only the left earbud.
Step #6: Remove both earbuds from the case to have them automatically power on and begin pairing with one another. A single beep means that the buds have paired together.

You will now be able to repair your device to your Indy True Wireless Earbuds by turning on Bluetooth on your device.

Wireless earbuds SHOULD NEVER have to pair . Every complaint I’ve ever seen with any wireless earbuds has been about pairing issues . We are in 2021 for Christ sake . Automatic pairing should be a thing straight out the box and they should never unpair . As soon as two of them are turned on they should be in sync with one another and working

The two important steps that are not mentioned: During the tapping part, you have to keep tapping until the right lights come on. If the red lights don't come on, it won't work. And when you have to take out the pods, you have to put them in your ears, not just set them on the table.

This tutorial is missing information.
when you press 4 times quickly, if the red light has not come out, try again until the red light comes out (in the same step). If it has come out, follow the tutorial. When you remove both earbuds from case, you'll see that pairing is already heard on the left. It worked for me like that!
PD: I think it's incredible that all this has to be done so that the left earbud is heard ... very bad skullcandy ...

I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT!!! Do all the steps he was saying in the vid/description except you need to touch it 4 times FAST. The light on the headset will go red from a disconnect, you may have to do it twice in order for it to register, take breaks between attempts!

Don't buy it! It goes off and unpair from each other frequently. By the time you get to reconnect you don't even want to listen to anything anymore.

If the '4 times tapping' is not working for some of you guys, just keep the buds out of the case and let 'em discharge completely. Later, let 'em charge in the case and follow the steps from the video... 
Also, when you you put the buds on, long pressing on the right bud turns it on. Later it connects to your phone. If the left bud dsn't connect, long press the 'left bud' too. It will prompt 'power on'.

It gets really frustrating when you are out for a jog and the left bud, suddenly, goes mute for no reason :(

Thanks for making a product it with such a complicated pairing process! 🤬 its so fun when you have to do this 3/5 time you use them! Also in the middle of a workout.
