65 years old. Deadlift only on Sunday, heavy 5’s and 3’s. Hitting PRs weekly.

I will definitely try out doing deadlifts on Wednesdays. I would usually do the normal intermediate program, which is squat volume on Mondays, light on Wednesdays, and intense I Fridays, and deadlift only on Fridays. The problem I was having is I would be exhausted from my squats and recently my squat is only 20 pounds lighter than my deadlift when it used to be 45 pounds. I’ll let you know if this works.

I'm doing a 531 type of program. I hate 5s on dead; It's cardio and it's awful lol. I'll keep doing it as long as it works though!

This is great stuff Grant. Would you recommend this same kind of programming for the Squat when moving into an intermediate phase on that lift, or does that need a different kind of stress?

Coach, do you think doing 2 sets of 3 after you run out your fhaves on the LP, while still alternating deadlift and power clean every workout, is a good idea to push the weight up for a while?
Or is it better to immediately switch to something like this with different rep maxes goals once a week?

This was really hard to follow, especially as a European. You're spitting out all these freedom units back to back and it's hard to really understand their significance. Like, I don't know how I'd run this myself, apart from the fact I do 5s, 3s, and 1s, with back off sets. But what weights? Percentages based on current 1rm would be really helpful

He’s gonna get hurt. Needs better form. Dump the straps; if you cannot hold it, you cannot pull it.
