Love that 99% of comments are of "An American Werewolf in London"

This is by far the best version of the song. No other version comes close in my view.

Oh yes!! One of the best renditions of Blue Moon in my opinion. I remember seeing An American Werewolf in London at the Drive-In back in 1981. It was a double feature with Halloween II. I was only 9 and both scared the living shit outta me!!

I worked at a radio station in L.A. back in the early '90s. One morning as I walked into the office on the upper floor of a short building with a view of the Capital Records building out walked Bobby Vinton. Bobby Vinton himself. I was flustered, didn't know what to say except probably some stupid babbling about how much I loved his songs. As I recall he was smiling and very polite. I was so far from Earth at that moment I couldn't communicate with him, just stammered and nervously went into the station to catch my breath.

Best version of this song. Great heartfelt lyrics. American werewolf in London a funny film. A great song for the movie.

Heard it for the first time when I was 17 at the cinema with my girlfriend. An American werewolf in London was the movie, and we were so in shock by it that our walk back home (3 miles in the country with full moon!! and no people or houses around) must have been a world record!! Finally coming home we went up to our room, blocked the door and cuddled up together ;-) Those were the days

Still a classic song despite being in the intro of the best werewolf movie ever made.

lyrcs :
Blue moon you saw me standing alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
Blue moon, you knew just what I was there for
You heard me saying a prayer for
Someone I really could care for
And then there suddenly appeared before me
The only one my arms will ever hold
I heard somebody whisper "Please adore me"
And when I looked, the moon had turned to gold!
Blue moon!
Now I'm no longer alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
Paroliers : Lorenz Hart / Richard Rodgers

I'm 17, I first saw this movie when I was around 7 or 8 with my parents. Best werewolf movie ever created. I still watch it to this day. Beautiful song too

Watching A.W.I.London now with my 14 year old son always loved this song but yeah great song great film but still the beauty of that song from way back when. Simple times I'd rather have lived through. This was a big bit apparently back in the 50s. Beautiful song ❤️❤️

I love all of Bobby Vinton's songs..he has the most amazing voice..with the power to send my 3:year old Grand Daughter into a wonderful sleep..She loves hearing him singing and always asks for him when she's tired.

The opening scene is Hay common near where I live, walk there quite a lot. And the outside of the pub is cottage about 15 minutes from where I live. I have always loved this movie since I was about 12. Passed my driving test 5 years ago when I was 30. Explored the hell out of my country, 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿. And when I watched the movie again recently, all these places where so familiar. Googled the movie locations, and confirmed it. Amazing movie. And this song is Beautiful. Great way to open the movie with.

The fact that Bobby vinton's version of Blue Moon is not on karaoke is such a crime

A really beautiful song, this one - and yes, it makes a very fine introduction to the film An American Werewolf in London (1981).

This is the finest vocal of this song that I've ever heard, and I've heard all the greats sing it -- Sinatra, Ella, etc.
