I came here after trying to play - I vi ii V ii vi II V iii vi ii V I. In the main section there was a dim IV (#root) to a b (flat) dim iii. Maddening on memory. Great video I found it kinda anticipating... ... ... subbed

Awesome. Easy to understand. Can you make a guideline or syllabus who learn from online in self paced mode?

To my ear, I- vi-IV-V has not been used in pop songwriting since the 1950's. Specifically, the V-I change is long dead. Every four chord progression ends with IV-I now. That's I-V-vi-IV and derivations thereof.

Thanks for the video, I learned a lot. What would be the analogous sequence in a minor key? Would it be, Am F Dm Em?

Min 7 b5 is a minor chord . Yes it's best known as a half diminished because of the flat five . Lydian still s major even tho it has a sharp 4 (same note as a flat 5 )? Yes it is and a min7 b5 chord is a minor chord . If it has a flat 3 it's minor . A min 7 b5 is unstable but a more stable chord than a min maj 7

I was waiting for a moment where I could be like "I fucking hate I V vi IV" and that moment never came! Thank you for teaching people how to break out of monotonous patterns and avoiding the dreaded radio progression that makes my ears bleed

I'm new at this stuff. But let's start with a basic question. Why is C concidered the one chord here? Like I need the I-IV-V explained to me if anything. Cause that's the most used. I need a simple answer please...and thank you. Just pretend I'm like 4 or something
