Love confederate songs from Poland! Our country fought for its independence the same time the South fought for its. One day, the southern cross will be treated with respect again as it deserves. And Robert E Lee was a real hero and he deserves to have his monument in Richmond back!

I live in a Dixie state that didn’t join the confederacy, and is often regarded as a border state. I have ancestors that fought for both the Union and the Confederacy and I will never be ashamed of that. I’m equally as proud of my northern heritage as much as I am my southern heritage, and the southern haters will never take that away from me. I’m a proud American graced to be a southerner. Long live the South!

This was probably the last song a lot of people heard before going into battle and die.

Most of them did it to defend the life-style of the rich and powerfull (I bet the average farmer in the south had more in common with the average farmer in the north than with the rich plantation and slave-owner that pushed him into the meatgrinder).

Of course they were told that their cause was just, that they had to defend themselves against "the other", and that it would be easy, quick, and that they would win.

It`s just the same BS over and over. Even today. Choose your battles, and don`t die for others people interests. If some billionaire wants acces to some gas or oil-fields, or some rare minerals, let HIM, and his family man the trenches.
