I had a 2002 put up 5 years ago I put a battery charger on it today and it started the first time I couldn't believe it so I changed the oil gas and I love it it's just like it was when I put it up even better

I'm looking for the displacement cc or cubic inch on the big ass single cylinder Yamaha engine that doesn't have to wind up to have godly amounts of torque
Or horsepower CC
Or something I also going to have to go and find out what's supposed to oil the valves on the overhead valve engine it looks like it's from blow by I don't see any oil lines but they are getting oiled somehow. It was a fleet cart

hi thanks for the great info. I'm more familiar with club car and thought I was going to stick with them but recently found a deal on a 98 gas Yamaha cart. would you say there's any major issues with that year cart other then the clutch you were saying?

Can you give me a rough estimate on the parts cost of this build? I have the space, tools, time and ability to build my own. I’m retired and would rather build one like this knowing it was basically new than buy one in my area that the prices are rather high and not know exactly what was done to it. Thank you.

In buying a 6seater golf cart. Which would you prefer ezgo or Yamaha. I’m buying new and it will be gas?

really not a fan of the early team style clutches (ezgo used the same clutches) or the steering rack mount that yamaha uses. we bought 24 yamaha drive carts one time and about 50% have bent steering rack mount plates, very time consuming to fix. i find when gas carts get used for that long on a course there is just so much wear and tear its almost never worth is financially
