I bought one because my neighbor took his daughter and other friends on his golf cart but left my daughter on the side waiting. So now she has her own golf cart.

Worked as a golf car mechanic for awhile.. as far as electric, keep ‘em topped off and terminals clean. I’d recommend gas. As for brands, Club Car hands down.. no sleezy go’s. (Coming from a non golfer haha)

Picked up an old, used EZGO Marathon electric last year for my wife and she loves it. Drives the grandkids around our property all the time. Uses it to pull a wheelbarrow around for yard work, etc. Saw another for sale this year for a decent price and plan on swapping out the lead acid for lifepo4 batteries and an inverter so that it's a mobile power station so I can use power tools in remote parts of the property without hauling a generator. I've set up some used solar panels and a charge controller on a garden shed so they stay charged all the time.

Welcome to the club. We love our golf cart but my cart has nickeled and dimed me to death. Learned a lot in the process, but in my opinion, if you can drive your cart around town and use it as a “spare” vehicle I wouldn’t hesitate to spend the money and get a solid cart with lithium batteries.

The best part of the 36v is it will commute around 20 to 22 miles on one charge. I bought an 01 EZGO Txt Series cart as well and so far I am very happy. Another good thing is it doesn't engine brake going down hills. Great cart for golf or neighborhood travel.

Funny. I live in Jacksonville but I grew up in Navy Point as a kid in the 80’s. I grew up in the house right in front of the boat ramp. Used to jump off the old bridge.

I just got a Yamaha and replaced all the batteries and added a battery to get to 48v. I got the batteries from surplus and so am into a great working cart for about 800 bucks. Needs some work on the lights but other than that I’m not going to put a lot of money into upgrades. If you aren’t afraid to shop around, clean one up and do a little work you can get them cheap.

I didn’t get to see the other video, of you assembling it ! The only video that I saw, was the 1 of you unboxing it ! Hope that you are recovering from your accident !

I bought a yamaha Drive 2 Quiet Tech with electronic fuel injection and 4 wheel independent strut suspension. I wouldn't trade it for any other gas OR electric. People think it's electric when we drive up to them. BTW: you should upgrade the rear springs with that rear seat. Brake lights and turn signals will probably be needed per your local ordinances.

I use my EZGO 36 volt to pull my airplane around. It will pull a 2, 500 pound plane over a mile without any issues. He mentioned that they wouldn't be great for towing. I think they do quite well.

Many people think of these as toys and not dangerous. I know of people who have been killed in golf cart accidents and others who have been seriously injured going 10mph. They can easily flip and have almost no safety features. They are fun, I own one, but respect them.
