After three days of intense negotiations between member states and the European Parliament, the EU has reached an agreement on a framework to regulate artificial intelligence. The AI Act is the first text of its kind in the world. The "political agreement" is expected to promote innovation in Europe, while limiting the potential pitfalls of this cutting-edge technology. FRANCE 24's Julia Sieger tells us more.

You can't regulate criminals developing their own AI so it is just as well we don't have AI yet. What we have is nothing like what the general public thinks we have. What we have is another of the evolving steps from expert systems to the Holy Grail (which is fiction) of a thinking machine that will do what you want (more fiction). So far, we are still at the CGI stage of a game that hasn't even been story boarded yet. Intelligence isn't just one thing in isolation, and we haven't a clue how to mimic intelligence because we cannot even define it, yet. Like fusion it will be in 30 years' time, right? 🤣

The entire global economy will go in recession which is going to be a disaster for the human being as well as for the any country. Govt. should take strict regulation on AI and also should make sure the safety of the employees all over the world. If AI replace human being then financial crisis will arise and at the end who are thinking AI will be the great revolution will turn into a great chaos. Because consumer less services or products will not make economy stronger. If company started firing people and adopting AI those people who have been fired they will not able to buy any services or products, so how they company will become profitable when they will find any end consumer for their products or services.
