A "bite sized" explanation of a P.I.C.K Chart.
A PICK Chart is simply a 4 quadrant Effort & Impact Matrix. A simple but powerful tool that can be used in a number of different applications. Particularly helpful in Problem Solving by allowing you to prioritise a series of potential solutions identified during a brainstorm session, to arrive at the best idea to implement.

P.I.C.K: Possible, Implement, Challenge, Kill-off. By posting the potential solutions into the appropriate quadrant, the ideas listed in the “P” and “I” quadrants are chosen first.

Being a subjective tool it is prone to influence and bias but very simple to use. For a far more objective tool, try a Solution Selection Matrix.
