Are you feeling ready to tackle all of the excess in your home - but aren't sure where to start? A decluttering process is a great beginning step. Today I want to give you some tips that will help you declutter faster and more efficiently!

We can probably all admit to having extra clutter in our lives - items we no longer use, papers that are piling up - life just happens, and sometimes the clutter comes along with it.

Through the years, I have learned to live a highly simplified life. This has been so freeing for myself, and my family. But, even with this minimalistic lifestyle, we find clutter creeping into our lives and our home.

Routine decluttering sessions are instrumental in keeping things in check, and the tips that I am sharing in today's video can help YOU declutter in a much more effective way.

Hey guys! Do you have that one 'clutter spot' in your home that drives you nuts?!

Hah. The one little corner at the edge of my kitchen. And I do it to myself. 😅😅

I finally just accepted that it was my “go to” spot for the small “reference” things and the random things. Like they say if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em. But really it was just acknowledging that this was the space I naturally gravitated to for such things (or maybe more like go with your own “flow” as opposed to where your head “thinks” such things “should” live). Well anyways. I just set up a small organizer little desk/box thing there. So now I can somewhat hide it and give it a boundary limit. And make it look more tidy. It’s just where I basically keep things I often need. Budget book. Pad of paper. Pen. Reading glasses. Lip balm. Pending coupons I may use. Receipts. Etc. The fridge is also the other half of my “command center” but that one is basically just a magnetic grocery/shopping list pad and another sheet of paper to keep up with current rental money/loan stuff. Along with a little locker pen holder for a pen and a sharpie and chalk marker. It’s also my kind of “random things to put away” place. Or the temp holding place right after shopping. Since I “accepted it” it’s easier to deal with now. I usually will tidy it up a few times a week now and keep it decent looking. I now just have accepted that for whatever reason, I don’t want to use my desk for all that anymore. And I let that be ok for myself. Lol.

Clutter area... every single flat surface in our house. The ottoman in the living room used to be clutter free, but it had a metal thing set on it recently. Although I had the cabinet in the laundry room cleaned off, my darling wife recently piled a bunch of stuff IN the laundry sink. I'm fighting a losing battle...

Kitchen bar area! Drives me crazy when everyone puts their stuff there when they come in the door! I have tried putting a basket there and they still won't put their stuff in it!
