Yet Another Strange Coin Spill - PART 2 - Coin Rolls

This is a continuation of Part 1, my metal detecting adventure with big and small finds. I discovered a coin spill and I'm trying to find more.

The video shows almost everything with not much interruption. The coins are from 1920's. Some still in coin rolls wrapped in paper. This is yet another strange coin spill, I can add to my collection.

I wonder what has happened at this place 100 years ago...

Thanks for watching.

Thank you, it was worth waiting.
Most of us can only dream of one day getting a find like that.

Congratulations on all of your discoveries. That is the most coin spills I’ve seen on YouTube in around 800 videos I have had the pleasure of viewing. I can not imagine how so many were lost in the first place. There ma be something in the compact 🧐. Again congratulations and as always an excellent video.

In the 1920s post war era the German economy was wracked with rampant hyper inflation. In 1923 a pfennig was not worth its weight keeping in the pocket. Even a bucket full. Inflation made one Gold mark worth or equal to 1, 000, 000, 000, 000 paper mark. A pfennig was not worth keeping at that point. If the 1 pfennig coin roll was part of a heist of some kind it was probably tossed as not worth carrying.

Another great day in the woods. The coin composition - why some iron and some zinc? Being semi-low value coins, maybe you can clean some and make a video of that? Thanks again MD24. Your channel is growing with great content. Chuck in NE Kansas, USA

Hello ! Awesome coin spill and thank you for sharing ! I was also amazed about how many Chestnuts i saw ! Makes me wonder what happened to all of our Chestnut trees that used to exist here in Virginia ? As a child, they were everywhere ! Must have been a disease maybe.... Anyway, Thank you sir... Todd from Virginia....

I watched part 1 and 2 today, thank you for sharing. Very interesting historical finds. I have a question, how do you clean the coins? Do you use a special process? I do metal detecting myself here in the USA and enjoy finding old things, and I like to research the history of my finds. I am assuming that you are in Germany? My home place of birth, Heilbronn. I came to America with my mother and father when I was a child in 1951. I am a U.S. Citizen now. I have visited Germany a few times years ago. Beautiful architectural historical buildings and sites! Again thank you for sharing, you are an inspiration to the metal detecting hobby. I really enjoy your videos and will continue watching them! Auf Wiedersehen!
