7 of the BEST SWIMMING SPOTS in AUSTRALIA
Показать описание
7 Swim Spots in Aus ya gotta see! 💦
These are 7 of my favourite places to swim in Australia - they’re absolutely delightful.
1. BITTER SPRINGS
2. EDITH (LELIYN) FALLS
3. ZOE FALLS INFINTY POOL
4. FLORENCE FALLS
5. JOSEPHINE FALLS
6. ZOE FALLS
7. LITTLE BLUE LAKE
⚠️ 🐊 As with any swimming spots in the NT, QLD and WA there can be crocodiles and resultant closures of swimming holes. Ensure to check relevant state Parks websites for up to date information and follow all signage.
BITTER SPRINGS
Bitter Springs is located near Mataranka in Nitmiluk (Katherine) National Park the Northern Territory. I have never seen water this blue ever, it’s incredible. To top it off it is a hot spring so it’s 32 degrees Celsius - balmy!
EDITH (LELIYN) FALLS
This huge swimming hole is also in Nitmiluk National Park and has a cute little waterfall that you can swim across to. There are also lore swimming holes and falls you can hike up to above the main pool.
ZOE FALLS INFINTY POOL
This infinity pool at the top of Zoe Falls on Hinchinbrook Island has to be one of the most serene spots to take a dip. The island only has hikers (doing the Thorsborne Trail) and day trippers so you will very likely get this spot to yourself.
FLORENCE FALLS
Another epic NT waterfall! Florence falls is located in Litchfield National Park and is one of many epic spots to swim in the park. Others include Wangi Falls, Buley waterhole, Surprise Creek Falls and more.
JOSEPHINE FALLS
These falls are located near Cairns in Wooroonooran National Park. They’re absolutely beautiful and a perfect spot to take a dip. ⚠️ The water level here is affected by rainfall in the area and can rise rapidly. Ensure not to swim in or after rain and follow all signage about closures. Check out nearby Babinda Boulders too!
ZOE FALLS
The base of the incredible infinity pool mentioned above on Hinchinbrook Island. Just wow!
LITTLE BLUE LAKE
A sunken limestone swimming hole near Mount Gambier in South Australia. This lake sits in the middle of a field with nothing surrounding it, it’s pretty surreal. The water is fresh at 12 degrees 🥶
