Honest. Earnest. Decent. Highly intelligent. Not a pushover. I'm glad this man puts himself out there. His voice is a benefit. Wish there were more like him.

Arrogance is always a variety of self delusion - it can be intoxicating for a spell, but the hangover invariably is crushing. I do not consider 'self belief' to be arrogant.

Jordan, I've been watching your videos for several weeks now and i think its time to show a little more than a like and a subscription.. Your ability to communicate your points with such accuracy and clarity is truely aspiring. Even your hand gestures while you speak and the tone in your voice help me to draw and map out just about any topic you bring up. Thank you for the lectures you share with the world and for the guidance you provide

You have definitely eliminated your arrogance from when i first saw you years ago. Its truly respectable to see people grow as a human being late in life. I like listening to you now these days, before i was a little irritated lol. All love

It might not always apply as simply as that: I am afraid of making mistakes and am arrogant at times. Mostly to cover/protect uncertainty, vulnerability, over-sensitivity-neuroticism (CPTSD + Aspergers), fear of not being heard, attempt to ascertain myself, albeit in a less constructive way. Sawing the branch I''m sitting on.
I want to learn how to know whether criticism/mirror of enemies are valid or not. And what to do with a valid part when I am terrified out of my wits at the damage they did to me, unable to alter then what I have to.

God this guys is good. He is talking to guys with big ego (most arrogant people have really big ego) then tell them to go read something. To make sure they do, he delliberatly say the thing is very hard to understand. Someone with a big ego will instantly go ahead and read this shit just because he sayed that. Thats fucking brillant, using someone weakness to make him do what you want him too.

Everybody should listen to this  ... your enemies are your best friend,   if a person is searching for perfection they must listen to their enemies and take them serious.

I think with all this "pride"  .. people just telling people whatever they want to hear - this is what created the SJW, trophies for nothing etc.

It helps to love your enemy if you realize he is actually your best friend LOL

I just realized this is one of the 1st times I've ever really heard him talk about himself for a while and in this detail. it's very interesting! And i love how he answered this question. He sounds like a normal person and not a philosopher. 👍🏾

T.D. Jake's taught me that when I become a King, to never loose my "common touch".
I try hard to never exhault myself over others.

Look at the brain on that man; eloquent, intelligent, complex & utterly massive.  No, seriously... Stare at his forehead and you'll start to see this man's neurons exploding forth.

Dude, that's crazy. I actually do have a slightly asymmetrical face now due to an orbital fracture I received from a headkick. I also couldn't see much out of one eye for probably about 3 weeks after in which time I was still concussed pretty badly and spent most of my time in a dark room with my head covered and in pain, experiencing vertigo whenever I stood up. Which is very similar to the Egyptian mythology of losing an eye, descending into the underworld and all that. However, I managed to rise back up and win my next fight in the first round. I'm not making any of it up. I also do have to keep a close watch on my ego. Which is a common problem for people who do these things.

I gain something new of value and/or knowledge every single time I listen to Dr. JBP (Even if I'm listening to one of his lectures for the second or third time!).
I'm Catholic, but not Eastern Orthodox, like his friend who carves icons.
However, I had absolutely no idea that The Christ Pantocrater represented the dual nature of Christ!?
I'm embarrassed to admit I thought it was just an accidental distortion on the early iconographer's part?!
Smh 🤦🏼‍♀️

Jerome V! thank you for sharing these short clips of Jordan Peterson. However, could you also include the original video on peterson's page in the description? I always find myself wanting to watch the whole thing to, where it isn't taken out of context.

The philosopher Diogenes once went for a visit to Plato’s handsome house. Seeing Plato's exquisite rug, Diogenes walked up to it and wiped his muddy shoes on the rug, saying to the onlookers: "Here, I have destroyed Plato's arrogance!"

Plato calmly added--"using your greater arrogance!"
