Realistic Tree Grow 3d Model | Procedural HIP Setup + Alembic Files (Animated)

Available on Gumroad:

3d animated growth of a realistic wild broadleaf tree which ends with an slight wind.

This tree looks huge and needs more resources than a usual tree to get rendered, but good news is that leaves clumps are instances and for example if you load it via Arnold standin in 3ds Max it will render them as instances as well and you can manage to have it rendered, (test *.Max file using the alembic included)

The procedural setup is inside Houdini and a quick look development is done inside Solaris using Karma XPU. (result is rendered sequence)

As you will have a 3 month bonus GrowInfinite licence it would be possible to tweak the setup and build more trees using the Hip file also just if you are already familiar with Houdini and GrowInfinite... (Alembic output nodes are also involved)

The number of vertexes/polygons are constant from start to finish so you can basically slow the motion as much as you like ! (at least here in Houdini its easy :))

As we are talking about an organic growth of a tree this model can provide 8 totally deferent looking trees with super slow-mo growth as well.

Bonus : with buying this model you will receive a 3 month licence of GrowInfinite as well.

Project size on disk: 100 GB (50GB zipped for download )

Mesh info:

Trunk and branches: 2.5 millions of polygons /9.5 millions of vertexes

Leaves : 132,000 particle instances of mesh with polycount of 13,500 | 132,000 particle instances of mesh with polycount of 10,400 | 398,000 particle instances of mesh with polycount of 5,300

The work is truly amazing and I bet it took a lot of time to make.

Hi, I'm trying to open the file on 3DS MAX but I don't know how. I opened the file, but I can only see an empty box. Is there a separate video clip?

I’m trying to export a tree animation out as glTF! Any ideas on how to do that?
