Galaxy TAB S7/S7+: Forgot Password Can't Turn OFF to Factory Reset? (FIXED)

Updated: if this does not work then Plug into computer or laptop and try again. 👍

I show you how to factory reset the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 or S7 Plus if you forgot your password, PIN Code, pattern/swipe password and cannot turn off the phone so you can boot into the Android recovery options menu to preform a factory reset. If you forgot your password you first need to shut off the tab but it may ask you for a password that you forgot or maybe the password just does not work. Anyway I show you how to factory reset eventhough you forgot your password. Hope this helps.

Works a treat thank you! For those who are struggling, make sure the device is fully charged or connected via to a usb c charger or computer (pc or mac) to enable this to work.

I tried multiple times but it didn't work. Then I connected my Samsung galaxy with my laptop through usb cable and tried the same process, eventually it worked

Works great! I've been trying to reset my tablet for a while now but couldn't find anything with the "too many incorrect attempts" not letting me power it down. In the past, I've given up because previous methods hadn't worked but this had the perfect explanation. The switch from volume down to up when holding down the power button has to be so precise, it's crazy! Thank you for this video ❤

Although I did not need to factory reset my tablet, this helped a lot.

My tablet was like completely frozen dude. It was lagging so bad and it wouldn't even recognize my four digit pin, instead thinking it was a six-digit pin. It finally worked after restarting it, without the need of a factory reset

Finally someone who understood the problem: My Mon was not using the tablet and gave it to me, but she did not remember the PW. I powered it and could not get it to shut down to do the factory reboot. Many videos out there, but none addressing the "can't even turn the thing off" issue. This worked for me on the FIRST try!
Question: When I go through the setup, it still wants the password or Google account. My Mon does not have either. Any ideas? Thanks!
