Galaxy TAB S7/S7+: How to Factory Reset 2 Ways (Hard Reset & Soft Reset)

I show you 2 ways to factory reset the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 or S7 Plus back to original default factory settings. Hope this helps.

The process shown in this video will not work if you recently upgraded your tablet's software.
The new way to hard reset your tablet is that you must first connect it to a computer (Windows or Mac). Only then will you be able to use the Power/Volume Up buttons combination to access Android Recover Mode.

Question what is the difference in hard reset vs. Soft? Don't they both wipe the system clean for resale?

It wont work until it is connected to laptop. Connect the type c cable to conputer and do this procedure. It will work

What if I wanted to factory reset tablet to completely remove original google admin account and password, then reset tablet with whole new gmail account and password. Is that an option before I factory reset? My ex-husband has linked his gmail to my daughter tablet and I want it reset to completely new so I can set it up with my gmail account.

Very strange I cannot get mine to go into factory reset mode using the power button + volume up method. I bought a refurbished tab and I'm suspicious that this method isn't working so I do not want to do it through the software approach. Any ideas? Galaxy tab s7+ WIFI

Hi, Thanks for the video, so have to link to pc with updated software, that explains that then!, the only problem is, I'm trying to factory reset as shock horror the tablet refuses to accept my password, used to be a fan of Samsung, but including my son, that's 2 TVs, 2 Tablets, and a laptop. All refuse the password, as I am getting old i don't have dozens of passwords, it's the same one on these devices for 6 months. But I can't turn this off to do a factory reset, simply because it won't turn off with the bloody password!!, Rapidly losing will to live, advice anyone?, please!
