getting a decent sound source to test headphones is tough. Most people upload at such a low volume its like me headset broken and I wasted all me money buying sheet.. this destroyed my hearing in seconds. loved it.

Came across this when I Googled for a way to test stereo sound in my new Shokz Open Run Pro bone conduction headphones. I bought these after I tried them at a local Best Buy and discovered that with these headphones, I could hear on my left side. This is significant for me because I was born 100% deaf on the left. After getting home and finding this video, this is the first time in my life that I got to experience real surround sound. :) Loved this video!

Great video. After testing, my personal finding is that for games you would still want stereo cuz it is way easier to pinpoint the direction compared to any kind of gimmick-ish virtual surround sound.

Very clever. For those of you thinking this is some kind of wizardry, it's really all about equalization. When something is coming from behind you, due to the way your ears are shaped, you don't hear high frequencies as well as when they're in front of you. The only difference between the Center and Back speakers is the high frequencies are taken out and the low end is boosted a bit.

Don't get me wrong, this isn't nothing. It takes a good engineer to do this well, but it's not magic.
