Although the feeling of turbulence is extremely uncomfortable, it's rarely a dangerous circumstance as most turbulence passes in minutes, and it’s extremely unlikely to be a precursor to disaster. But for thоѕе whо dread it, a bumру ridе саn turn a реасеful flight into a nеrvе-wrасking ordeal. Fortunately, pilots and psychologists agree that it’s fully possible to banish your fear at 30,000 feet. Hit the play button and let’s show you how.

Don't know who needs this but here's what I found works better than anything for turbulence(reduces its effects):
Sit up and recline forward so as to separate your back from the seat. Turbulence is felt WAY less when your back isn't pressed against the seat. If you wanna take it a step further, lift your legs up in the air so the only contact patch your body has with the plane is your butt. The less your body touches the plane, the less you will feel turbulence because your body will automatically balance itself upright. Trust me, just try it. Go physics!!

Come back to this comment afterwards, want to hear how it went!

Just the thought of turbulence makes me extremely nervous

Logically, I know this. Even with all the videos of turbulent flights, people are screaming and it’s really shaking! But, it eventually stops and the planes never go down because of it. However when the bumps start, it’s like I still can’t help but feel a little anxious.

Literally the only reason pilots slow the plane down in turbulence is for your comfort in the back. Just like slowing down while driving on a bumpy road, it lessens the impact of the turbulence. Cargo flights just cruise right through at normal speed! Also, if you happen to have a window seat and see the wings flexing up and down, imagen them as the shock absorbers on a car. Because that's what they are!

When you're not a fan of amusement rides because of that out of control g-force feeling that raises serious adrenaline, clinching butt cheeks is a natural reaction for me when moderate to severe turbulence occurs as well as every other muscle tightening up. The reality is if you have pre existing anxiety these methods are not going to help at all. Picking up a pen is impossible when your white knuckles are holding on to something like a lifeline. The reality is, it is what it is. I know turbulence isn't dangerous but that doesn't help.

Take a chill pill from your Dr (helps alot) or suck it up. They are my options

I’m frequent flyer, I fly more than 50 times but every time the flight shaking, it’s the same I am getting nervous, but I see everyone seems like nothing happens.

I just took my very first flight this past Monday...I was extremely nervous!!! I was excited and just nervous of the unknown.... well we did hit some turbulence but it literally felt like a car ride over pot holes... and on my way back home we did hit some turbulence that was a few seconds longer but it literally felt like hitting multiple pot holes on atlanta for my first flight ever it was smooth and everyone was very very nice!!! Everyone from the airport workers to the airplane crew!!! I loved it and can't wait to go flying again!!!

Oh my goodness, why show a plane crashing when trying to tell us not to be scared of plane travel!

I find sitting in the seat closer to the walkway instead of the window helps. Also taking Dramamine 15 minutes before take off

The imagery on this video is atrocious.
Entirely defeats the purpose of trying to help when every third clip is of danger or people screaming.

Terrible choice. Explains the low view count.
