and the "rabies" they trasmit, well is so rare that in history between 2 or 3 cases ONLY have been ever recorded, i know thousands get rabies from dogs, another couple thousands more from rats, EVERY SINGLE YEAR, so, yeah, that excuse has no basis watsoever, bats are AWESOME, period, damn, there are even videos of bats rescuing their babies, and things like that

been in several bat habitats in my home of Belgium, they're actually really cute and cuddly and won't hurt anyone without a cause. Should one land on you, you're more likely to actually be able to caress it and play with it than ever getting bitten or scratched. Always make certain to have your vaccines though, but that's the case with all wild animals.

Bats are so cute, also the fears of diseases are largely irrational
They can carry diseases indeedies.. but unlikely to be an issue.. this is from the University of Calgary in 2011:
"Bats are not as disease-ridden as the stigma suggests, according to new research. Previous studies have suggested that typically about 10 percent of bats taken by the public to be tested have rabies but new research says the number is closer to one per cent regardless of species or where the bats roost."

Vampire bats are so cute with their beady eyes, pig-like noses and the way they seem to smile. Plus, they don't usually go after humans, and VERY few bats carry diseases.

I'm on board! I love bats! And vomiting blood into another bats mouth is so sweet it could work for Valentine's day too! We have bats around my house and if they didn't carry rabies I would totally build a ton of bat boxes for them!

All for a batty christmas here. :) Not only is the spirit of sharing represented, chinese culture sees the bat as happiness... aka.. JOY! So yep. I'm all for this.
Funny fact: In chinese symbolism, a picture of a bat (fu 蝠) can be a visual pun for "good fortune" or happiness (fu 福) because both characters are pronounced fu. Often the bat is shown flying upside down because the character (dao 倒) for "upside-down" and the character (dao 到) meaning "to have arrived" are both pronounced dao. Therefore, if a person were to say "the bat is flying upside down" a listener could just as easily hear this as "happiness has arrived" which, of course, has a very auspicious connotation.

Bats are adorable! I really don't see why people are so scared of them... They wouldn't hurt a human unless scared or provoked. As long as you leave them at peace, they'll be peaceful to you! Just don't disrupt them... this us why it's important that people know more about animals. They wouldn't be scared of animals if they knew more about them and that their motives aren't to kill every human on earth...

I think you just forgot to mention the main frightening thing about vampire bats, rabies. If mosquitos and bats wouldn't transmit life threatening diseases, they wouldn't be much of a threat, just annoying. So warn your viewers before they would "donate" some blood in their own will after they will jump into extreme conclusions instead of just cheering up the occurrence.. Lol
beside that their wings and ears are beautiful and I think that wild dogs that eat flesh and blood should become the holiday symbol or piranhas definitely terrifying and more deadly :p
