In 1.0, if your starting flask is acceleration, you can use the speed to go from the tree branch where the egg is, onto the cliff!

Fury! I found a trick. If you get the flute wand from the tree put increase mana and luminous drill into it, by doing that you will get an extremely effective and accurate digging wand. It may be useful considering that the tree can now be destroyed by just regular digging bolt (checked) and you can immediately craft it (uses only 2 spells). Works as well if luminous drill is within a timer (that's the one I used). P.S. also found some minor curiosities inside the bark.
