this is hands down the best interview video I have come across. there have been no other videos that i have seen thus far that truly embrace the importance of naturality within us. the overwhelming stress of trying to say things so perfectly and structured can get you caught up in a loophole and overthinking. thank someone gets it.

Andy.. you are so correct! This video hits it perfectly for many of us. When we feel we perform less than our best, and the constant second guessing. Your energy is always uplifting when going through the journey.

Your tips and suggestions are all so practical. I'm prepping for my first interview tomorrow, in over 3 years and initially I was getting so hung up on STAR method this, and SOAR method that. One of my greatest strengths has alway been my communication style and ability to speak to others without sounding like I'm a robot. Thank you for instilling the confidence in me that I can talk to anyone about anything. Excellent video!

I loved your expression ' there is no patina on my enthusiasm' - a mindset I could do well adopting in a period of job search uncertainty. I landed on your channel as I was looking for tips on going for a position quite significantly above my previous paygrades, daunting but hopeful I can find some words of wisdom within your videos, thanks in advance!

This is profoundly valuable. I have been thinking on the framing for the situational question so long. But just brilliant to place in the problems that will be encountered. It gives me so much more leverage.

It is really tough to ace the interview for a foreigner since I can not speak English as well as a native speaker. As a foreigner job seeker, I should not only prepare the interview materials but also prepare how to convey my thoughts in English in a appropriate manner. I don't know what is the minimum acceptance level for employers for the foreigner job seeker's language level. I am trying my best efforts to speak English as fluent and natural as possible. Hopefully, I can speak English beyond my capabilities in the interview. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you Andrew LaCivita; I like your methodology toward an interview. I have learned the star method per employment specialist although I like your method much better in that it seems much more natural and real.

Hi Andrew, I really like your content. I’m currently interviewing for a Senior position and having my third round of interviews this coming week. The CEO and president of the company are joining this round. From your videos I feel fairly certain this meeting will be mostly about the future of their company and how I may contribute. Do you think the CEO and/or President will want to visit any of my “history” that has mostly been covered in the first two rounds or focus solely on the future? The position is for a director role in an engineering company.

What if the recruiter tells you they set up a interview with hiring manager and then you wait and then they say they go with other candidates and plus in phone screen they do not ask questions to determine if you best fit for the position
How would you respond to that

Okay Andy, I have a new interview question I was asked this morning. "Tell me a time when you demonstrated "inclusion" (in context of diversity) of a co-worker. How would you approach this question?

When is it appropriate to ask potential employer questions? When they make offer should I ask for orientation time to decide to accept.
I've taken jobs based on job opening posting that didn't match the expectations of who I ended up reportting to.
