For decades, I would scrub and use the baking/soda mix in my disposal. I did the ice method twice and it was perfectly clean!! Thank you

The ice immediately jammed the garbage disposal. I got it running and it started spewing brown gunk and turned ice to slush. I had to let it all melt and then it ran clear. Thank you!! I look forward to no more odor.

I need help with mine please. My garbage disposal is so dirty inside that I can't even see the metal color anymore it's brown with gunk every where. The prior tennants were apparently gross. Anyway how is there a way to clean the inside BUT with a jam. So it disposal is not working at the moment. Thank you

you don't use hot water _With_ the ice.. as it ...melts it ... add ice, salt, dish detergent, baking soda whatever detergens or abrasive media you want along with the ice... than once it's foamy and caked (and if it's really slimy and grungy, scrub it with a dish brush or whatever) but just simply throwing ice in it than running HOT water literally won't do anything in most cases, you have to time it better (you melted the ice too fast)
