I am working at a 11 teamsports store in Austria so let me help you out guys.

The most important thing after training is to put the shoe inserts out. They have to dry because of the glue and because of the smell. If the shoes are always wet the glue won‘t stay long so you can buy some new boots after 2 months. I had customers where were mould under the shoes because he didnt let them dry.
A mistake in this video is the newspaper in the shoes.
You are only allowed to put the newspaper in the shoes if it is a leather model! Synthetic model can‘t dry the wet paper inside so the paper stays wet inside. Leather is drying the wet paper inside so don‘t put it inside synthetic boots or they‘ll get even worser!

I live in a very wet place in the Pacific Northwest. Both me and my son use a specifically designed boot dryer that circulates warm air (cooler than a hair dryer) into the boot. Works like a charm for football boots as well as regular shoes and ski boots. It’s a wonderful thing.

I just usually put them under the fan to let air circulate the smell out, works great, but if it gets too much just soak them in warm water with washing powder and dry

Get a boot warmer . It doesn’t need to dry naturally unless it’s a poor quality product . I have played 50+ matches with mine
