Keith Richards remembers his band mate and lifelong friend: Charlie Watts. Keith discusses one of his last conversations with Charlie regarding going on tour without him and his struggle with cancer.
The Rolling Stones are a family. There is a need to carry on even after key members pass away and Charlie made it clear that he wanted the band to continue touring without him.

Keiths the only person I’ve watched who’s more coherent the older he gets.

It must be absolutely heart breaking to turn around on stage after a lifetime of playing together and not seeing Charlie behind the drums RIP Charlie.

Let’s take a minute to consider that Charlie Watts was not just a fantastic musician but also surely rocks best dressed man. The word “dapper” was surely made for him. RIP Charlie.

Charlie Watts is irreplaceable. He had a unique style that brought so much to every stones song. RIP Charlie. The stones won't be the same without you

Must have been a terrible loss to all ! They played together for around 55-60 years. R.I.P. Charlie and God Bless his Family and Friends.

Aw man Keith is such a gentle soul. Charlie would want the show to go on! Saw them in Nashville and it was surely different without him but Steve Jordan did a great job. Miss Lisa Fisher as well! Love love love the infamous Rolling Stones!

Charlie was simply amazing, he could play anything, rock, reggae, jazz. He was the heartbeat of the Stones, and if that wasn't enough, he dressed impeccably and managed to stay married to the same woman. That on its own is an achievement for anyone today. I also believe he bred race horses in his spare time, and by all accounts he was just a lovely man. RIP Charlie, we miss you

Charlie Watts is immortal & no question, Steve Jordan has big shoes to fill. IMO he's doing a great job it seems to me he's getting dissed & that isn't fair. Let's give Steve a hand too! 👏👏

When a band has been together for as long as that stones have, you are more than friends, more than family, you are part of each others psyche.

After fifty plus years, it must have been a shock to look back and to miss that persona and steady beat that Watts provided for so long.

He was the rock they built the foundation on. The drummer in a rock band is the backbone of the music and the band. The songs depend on the steady beat of the drums for the most part. Except for the slower Ballads.
So Watts was essential to the music and to the groove!
Without the drummer, there is no groove!
RIP Charlie Watts
Thanks for the groove!

one by one all my music heroes from my youth to now are passing. it's becoming a lonely place without them, but so grateful that they shared their talent with us forever.

Charlie Watts was cool personified. I think in 50 years Keith will still be giving interviews. I think he's immortal.

I love Keith, a true friend of Charlie. Sorry but I will not go to another RS gig. They will come to Spain but I will no go. The Stones without Charlie are not the Stones. However, I admire their tenacity and love for the live music. I am sure they are still on the road for two reasons: a lot of families depend on their tours and that is what they have always done. Fantastic guys!
